We invite you to attend a welcome reception for David Schwebel, the university's new vice president for research, on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025. The event will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Levitt Center for University Advancement Rotunda, located at One West Park Road in Iowa City, Iowa. Please note that brief remarks will be delivered at 5:15 p.m.

Participants can connect with accomplished alumni who have pursued careers in academia, industry, government, and beyond. This is a free event, supported by the NIH-funded T32 Training Programs, the Carver College of Medicine, and the Department of Microbiology & Immunology. Registration closes September 12th, and space is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
