🎓 Congratulations to Joseph Chin on his successful PhD thesis defense!

The Molecular Medicine Graduate Program congratulates Joseph Chin on the successful defense of his PhD thesis, “Resolving the Hidden Heritability of Hearing Loss,” completed on December 12, 2025. Joseph conducted his doctoral research in Dr. Richard Smith’s laboratory.

Joseph will continue his training in the Medical Scientist Training Program, where he will earn a dual MD/PhD degree. We are proud of his accomplishments and look forward to the impact of his future work as a physician-scientist.
