Biography

Britt supports two programs within the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS): the Biomedical Sciences Program (BSP) in Molecular Medicine and Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IDGP) in Neuroscience. In her role, she manages website updates and content accuracy, coordinates meetings and travel arrangements, and oversees student reporting throughout the PhD process. She is deeply committed to student success and works to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for both current and prospective students. Known for her authenticity, humor, and empathy, Britt strives to make her office a supportive and safe space for all.

An alumna of the University of Iowa, Britt has been part of the campus community since 2013. She earned a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Health and Human Studies and spent three years teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) in Suwon South Korea following graduation. Since returning to Iowa, she has worked at the University of Iowa in various roles beginning in 2020. Prior to joining BSP - Molecular Medicine in January 2024, she served in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences—first as a scribe for retina ocular oncology and uveitis specialists, and later as the Administrative Services and Fellowship Coordinator for the Glaucoma service.
